Thinking ahead to Thanksgiving Dinner

This year I’ve decided to try some new things.

In an effort to reduce my personal consumption of HFCS, I’m going to try this recipe for Cranberry Sauce. I love the third review, too. Masher in hand, I’m just going to jump in.. probably next Tuesday.

I’m going to make some homemade marshmallows, too. We’ve been drinking a lot of cocoa, since Mr. Winter has shown his evil self. (I’ll substitute the corn starch, of course.)

I didn’t buy any turkey. I think I’m feeling guilty. Its like I don’t know what to do without thinking about brines and such. I’m such a wimp.

I really couldn’t decide if I wanted to just buy a turkey breast. Those of us, around here, that are not allergic to poultry, don’t really eat dark turkey meat. But there is something so traditionally lost without a turkey, for Thanksgiving. *sigh*

We have a nice ham, that I had to put in my freezer, for lack of refrigerator space.. I’ll bake it slow with brown sugar and orange juice. I’d like to use Sprite, but ya know.. yeah.

I bought a big #10 can of Italian Green Beans. I’m going to follow my traditional recipe, with it.

I really need help with a substitute recipe for Knorr Soup Mix. Do you make Spinach Dip without a soup mix? I could really use some ideas.

I need a Costco friend. I really only want to know if there is Coke, there, from Mexico, with real sugar in it. And I’d love some yeast.

Happy planning, yall. *smile* (How was that for Cali Girl Southern Lingo? *giggle*)
