Phree Photo Phun – Take Two

Dancing Flowers through the window!

Do you know about Big Huge Labs Flickr Photo Mosaic Maker?

If you can click a couple of buttons, you can do this..

The layout, of the photo, at the top, is called 2+2 with shadow. I randomly chose a black for the border and a dark grey for the background color.

Before I set the mosaic, to pick up the photos, from a Flickr photoset, I ran them through Picnik, in Flickr, and softened them and added a vignette. Because the particular photos, were not the only photos in the set, I set the mosaic to pick up at page 2, so it would bypass the first four photos in the Flickr photoset. (This only worked, this way, because the mosaic I chose had four photos, in it. You may have to adjust it, for the number of photos you choose.)

Bathing in My Backyard

This is the first mosaic that I created. See how the one photo, bottom/right, is a different color? Its because it was taken on a different day. (It is called Four Frames with Shadow.)

I decided that this mosaic would be more pleasing to the eye..

Birdies

It is called 1+3 Left With Shadow.

The problem was that I couldn’t get the birds in the right frames. I wanted that one photo, that was a different color, by itself. I tried manually placing the, individual, photo links into different boxes, without using the Flickr photo set option.. that didn’t help.

flickr arrange

With the bird photos, the only four photos, in the set, I chose the “Randomly” rearrange the set, a few times, until it did put the birds like I wanted them.

Now, its your turn.. Go Create! (Don’t forget to let me know where I can peek at them, too, k? Thanks.)
