Saturday Menu Revised

Sometimes, I can’t follow Monday’s Menu. Life just gets in the way. On days like this, I just rearrange and go-with-the-flow the best that I can..

Today..
The Steaks are marinating, in the fridge, in one of those baggies, that hooks to the machine, that sucks all the air out.. (My headache prevents me from thinking of its name..)

The marinade is a complete experiment. Let’s hope its not a complete disaster. I sprinkled each NY Strip Steak (I couldn’t bring myself to buy the Rib Eye’s. I just don’t get along with raw meat. I can’t eat it, anymore, either, so it just compounds my personal ick-factor problem.) with Old Bay Seasoning.

I topped each steak with thinly sliced onion.

In a bowl, I mixed 1/4 cup olive oil, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire, 1Tbsp Maurice’s Cajun Pepper Sauce, the juice of one lime, and liberal amounts of black pepper.

After pouring the marinade into the bag, we sucked the air out, sealed the bag, and tossed it in the fridge.

Please pray. :)

I used the large blender container and the magic bullet machine to make the Peach BBQ Sauce.

I was planning to make Smashed Red Potatoes, Yellow Squash with Vidalia Onions, and Stuffed Jalapeno Bites.

And a Salad.

But, TheBoy wants to eat Broccoli. So, I’m adding Broccoli Casserole, now, too. I don’t have any cottage cheese, though, and the last time I made it, I substituted 1/2 the Mayo with Cottage Cheese, so I may have to run to the store.

Add to all of this, I have the non-hydrogenated shortening, in the fridge, and *I* want to eat a biscuit.

Wanna come over? I have enough to feed the whole block now. I think. Hopefully, after I trash my already messy kitchen, with all the above, I’ll remember to take photos, for you.
