Last week was an interesting food week.

The Spring Roll Wrappers were a total fail. IF I had never made them before, and known what good wrappers are like.. I’d never try to make them, again. The wrappers were dryer, than usual, even after I never left them open to air. They wouldn’t stick and they tore.. everyone we tried.

I had picked up a 20 pack of Egg Roll Wrappers, so we could compare.. they were really good and I’ve since picked up a couple more, for this week. Yum. I used Heather’s recipe for filling, and just added 2 pounds of ground pork. I doubled the sauce recipe and it all worked out well.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are a blur and I did not defrost any of the meat.. so I’ll have to re-work those meats in, again..

Saturday’s meal was fabulous and huge.. and we ate for two days. I, especially loved the Peach BBQ Sauce.

This week:

Monday – Salads, with left over steak, fresh cucumber, yellow squash, tomato, and feta.

Tuesday – Taco Tuesday

Wednesday – Okinomiyaki (Savory pancakes with corn, sweet potato, cabbage, green onion, salad shrimp)

Thursday – Swiss Steak, Buttered Bow Tie Pasta with Parm, Green Salad with HM Ranch Dressing, Bacon Cheese Muffins

Friday – Chicken Fried Steak (sans Bock) with Cracked Pepper Gravy, Smashed Red Potatoes, Spinach Salad. Biscuits

Saturday – Breakfast for Dinner (Bacon, Oatmeal Pancakes, HM Syrup, Fried Potatoes, Strawberries)

Sunday – Leftovers
