Bi-Lo doubles coupons, pays you to use your reusable bags, and puts gas in your tank!

Last night, I received $.20, from Bi-Lo, for using my cloth bags. I didn’t know that they had a per bag discount savings plan. Now, I can save, using the reusable bags at Bi-Lo and Whole Foods.

I, also, recently learned that Bi-Lo will double Manufacturer’s coupons, up to $.60.

fuelperksDid I forget to tell you that in July, I bought gas, with Bi-Lo’s Fuel Perks Program, for $1/gallon?

It was more fun than going to Disneyland! :)

I don’t know what I did with my full-size Bi-Lo Bonus Card. I use the key chain card and just didn’t worry about whatever they were talking about for gas savings.

Other than when I was blessed with $500 FREE Shell gas cards, I’m pretty Hess loyal.

I ignored the fuel perks, mentioned, at the check-out, for almost a year. Even after I learned that Sunoco was the station offering the fuel perk’s discounts, I didn’t know any Sunoco station locations.

It was another customer, behind me, in the check-out line, one day, that told me I didn’t need my full-sized magnetic strip swipe card to use the discount. She said, “Just go inside.”

It actually took a friend to make me use the discount! Its all Kathy’s fault. :) We were headed to Publix, and driving right by a Sunoco station.

I went inside and gave my credit card, to the cashier, to turn on the pump, instead of choosing a dollar amount. I had no idea how much a full tank of gas would cost. I hadn’t been filling it up in months.. just putting “some” in to get by..

After I pumped the gas, I went back inside and gave the cashier my Bi-Lo key chain Bonus Card and my ATM card. I didn’t have to pay for the purchase with the credit card I had used to turn the pump on.

I paid around $17 for almost $40 in gas!

I’m not a very loyal Bi-Lo shopper. I wouldn’t say I even buy half of my groceries at Bi-Lo. The savings seem to add up very fast, though. A couple weeks ago, I earned double bonus, $.10 per gallon, per $50 spent, with their weekly promotion.

bonus

I, currently, only need to spend $9.76 to be back at my July bonus of $1.25 off, per gallon.

I’m amazed at this deal, with fuel perks, because I don’t go out of my way, or do anything special, or buy more than normal, to get these savings.

They just happen.
