My Scoopz and Jarz

Scoopz and Jarz

I’m a scoop and jar junkie.

I only have two measuring cups. A two-cup and a four-cup, and they seem to always be dirty. This is just the constant moving state of my kitchen.

When my one-cup measuring cup broke, I didn’t bother replacing it.. I have a cabinet full of jarz!

Just like my jarz, my scoopz and measuring spoonz and cupz are in constant use, too. I have two sets of stainless steel measuring cupz and spoonz.. and its never enough.

If I use them for simple dry tasks, I may just stuff them back into the drawer, because I’ll need it, again, before it will be washed. Salt can’t leave that much of a residue, right? (I had to learn to cook with measuring devices, so I could blog you recipes, btw. :) )

At the end of the day, they all get thrown into sudsy water and we begin, again, tomorrow.

My scoopz are considered “ice cream” and “cookie.” The ice scream scoop is 1/4 cup and the cookie scoop is 1 Tablespoon.

If I am making pancakes, I use a level “ice cream scoop,” because of the size of my pan. I can work, easier, with 1/4 cup pancakes, three, in each batch.

If I am making muffins, I use a heaping “ice cream scoop,” which is about 1/3 cup.

The nice thing about the jarz, is they fit nicely into the top of my dishwasher. I, prefer, to hand wash my stainless steal and metal bowlz and potz, so they can skip the chemical reaction of my HM dishwasher soap.
