Bread Machine Love

I love my bread machine.

It has, now, earned, a much coveted place, on my counter top.

Most recipes need to be tweaked, a tablespoon of water or flour, here or there. If there is dry flour, not combining into the ball of dough, add water, by the Tablespoon. If the dough isn’t forming a ball, because its so wet that it is sticking to the sides of the pan, add flour, by the Tablespoon.

I never knew rolls could be so easy.

Yesterday, I made Garlic Parmesan Rolls. The hardest part was watching the clock, to blog the time. :)

In that size, I had to use a round and a square pan.. so the photos seem a little strange.. but that’s because we *are* strange, like that. ::smile::

My bread machine is running another batch, of these rolls, without the garlic, to see if if can fake a new recipe for Monkey Bread. Of course, I’ll let you know, as soon as I know.

But what bread machine are you using? What specific brand and model?

I dream of owning one someday, but am overwhelmed by the choices. Would love a recommendation.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Lexi.

Years ago, when Bread Machines were the new thing, I had a really expensive $200+ bread machine, that I never used.

I knew when I was looking for a bread machine, again, my criteria was simple.. no round loaves (seemed un-natural for sandwiches.. and I'm a "square" girl, ::giggle::)

I wanted the machine, itself, to not have much more counter space, than bread baking space. At the time, I didn't have counter space, for it, and I knew I'd be "commuting it" around my kitchen.

All of the machines, I had seen, seemed like more than I needed them to be, so I waited.

Honestly, the only reason I purchased this machine is because it can make a 2 pound square (rectangular) loaf and it was $59.99!

I didn't know, then, that I would use it, almost every day, and give it counter space. :) (I think I've had it three or four years, sitting on the kitchen floor, collecting dust.)

I use the Breadman Ultimate Plus Model TR2500BC. It has the "stainless steel and black" look.

Look at the manual, in the store, when you buy appliances. IF there is no manual present, open a box and get it out. (This process is, also, necessary, to be sure your box has a manual/recipe book!)

I'm having upload issues, with flickr… I'll link the photo, of my machine, here, when I get it uploaded. :)

The recipe book will get your started..

    Thanks for the comment.
